Definitions of Liminal Space 
- 'Transition between states' 
- Common transitions (eg. child > adult, single > married, plenty > famine)
- The association with practices 

Thresholds and separation (from identity, structure and norms)

- The role of power (chosen vs imposed separation)
- Language and labels (eg. foster care, asylum)

Implications and Uses of Liminal Space 

- The upheaval of values and beliefs, and impact to identity 
- Anti Structure and periods of flux
- Value of Liminal language (individual vs. collective, and the path to reincorporation)
- Being forced to stay in a Liminal State (and the impact to hope/effort)

How to approach and explore Liminal States
