In this video I speak to the ideas of intentions and how inviting people to articulate their intentions for conversations can create accountability and responsive practice. Naming intentions or what is most important to speak about in each moment/conversation can actively resist falling into the traps of assumptions about what the therapy process should look like.
In my work responding to people studying or working in Narrative Therapy I find myself sharing experiences and learnings from collaborative conversations spanning the last 18 years. These videos respond to certain aspects of narrative therapy ideas and practice and are intended to be practical offerings to spark ideas and possibilities. These videos are my sharings through the lens of my location, experience and context - you are welcome to take up or pass by however best suits you and your context!
