A couple of ideas for slowing down therapeutic conversations.

15/5/2021

In this video I share some ideas for influencing the pace of therapeutic conversations to ensure that the problem and dominant discourses don't get the chance to completely run the exchange and rob people of the chance to articulate their experience on their own terms.

In my work responding to people studying or working in Narrative Therapy I find myself sharing experiences and learnings from collaborative conversations spanning the last 18 years. These videos respond to certain aspects of narrative therapy ideas and practice and are intended to be practical offerings to spark ideas and possibilities. These videos are my sharings through the lens of my location, experience and context - you are welcome to take up or pass by however best suits you and your context!
